    I wanted to be somebody
So I got any job, married anybody
and bought any house in Anytown
I have anything that anybody ever wanted
So why do I feel like a nobody?

A thought-provoking poem...A nice take on how what we have doesn't necessarily mean we're happy.

Actually the meaning of the poem was that I accepted "anything" and "anybody" when I should have been looking for "something" and "somebody"... not just anybody. I settled for a cookie cutter life instead of the life that I wanted, and that is why I feel like a nobody, because you can't be somebody when you accept the life of an anybody.

I know, I'm probably not making any sense
But I am sorry to hear that you also feel like a nobody... you are a somebody to me
