People who give their opinion like they are representitive of an over generalised group of people, like their opinion is the objective truth, ie, some1 claiming to speak for a nation, a gender, a race, etc, (English people think 'X' about 'Z', women think 'A' about 'C', etc).

    Fuck You. :itachi:

Sometimes I wonder if such people even believe 100% in what they are saying, or believe more of the power of the masses to get what they want/believe to be right.

Just seems like a crutch to me. Defiantly fuck them, it's a PR rep basically.

Are you saying that those people believe that they have group X's support to feel more empowered/less insecure when professing their opinions?

I can't speak for that entire group per say, but some yes. Some people have created this illusion that their positions are the same as the rest in an associated group. Even if they do, some people use group positions to fall back on when they are challenged. So when they are challenged they immediantly(on a personal level) fall back to the conclusion that the person challenging them is wrong or going against the norm, because everyone in their group thinks/feels the same. So anyon challenging them is wrong.
It's a dangerous mentality because these people will not truly look at the interuption in their methods by an opposeing force, they will simply define the people questioning their thoughts/methods as not understanding or going against progression or a number of other things.

There are also those people who believe in things that are accepted foundations of groups. These people believe these things regardless of the group, and stand by these positions, even if at a time it goes against a group that once stood with them.

It's hard to tell the difference sometimes. Some people just use an accepted group beliefe because they dont know how to or are too afraid to make their on concious decisions/positions.

Trends are useful tools even if not absolute. Canadians are more socialist than Americans even if there are far-right wing nutjobs in Canada and communists in America.

Race isn't even a real word. Ethnic diversity is real-like how accents and physical appearence differs... but race is a word made up to classify people who are "different" in a "bad" and "unholy" way. It is racism to believe in races... because we're all humans, so build a bridge and get over prejudices.

how can anyone speak for themself? its safer to speak in or for the belief of a group. lately it seems anyone that speaks for themself is considered politically incorrect and shunned. unfortunately pack mentality means power trying to be your own person , crippling.

race as defined by collins pocket reference english dictionary: "n group of peple of common ancestry with distinguishing physcial features, such as skin colour"

it is a real word and i dont see anywhre in the definition it is bad or unholy.

i dont consider myself a racist. yes we re all humans, but different in many ways. diffrences that make the world as unique as the humans that populate it.

    well said :arms:

To say "You're black, I'm white" is no different than saying "I'm human, you're ape" or "That is dog, that is cat".

I'm not saying there aren't trends, or that people can't speak on behalf of a group where there is some form of consensus.

I mean people who speak in overgeneralised terms, for groups which aren't together by consensus, and are only groups by accident of birth.

I mean people who speak on behalf of that non-consensual group like their opinions are the only opinion of said group.
