I had some stitches put in ny arm on Sunday after deeply cutting it. They didn't tell me when they need to come out. Anyone know how long they need to remain in for?

i had stitches in for about 7 days when i needed them, but i guess it depends on how deep the wound was. You could either book an appointment with the nurse at your GP surgery for a weeks time now or book a phone call appt. with your doctor to ask his opinion.

I guess it depends on what they used for the sutures..Usually it is 7 days but they have started using dissolving thread recently over here so prob best to check..

If they are a blueish colour they will need to be removed as they are def not dissolving ones..

    Hope this helps hon
