  1. Storm

    Cathartic, howling, bitter wind
    Jagged rain, blowing frozen
    Hurling stream of icy glass
into the blackness of this night
    without direction
Rattling the cage of my soul
    I feel its rage
    Shaking, shivering my ravaged,
    barren being
    I settle to a crumbling,
    insignificant heap,
    as I clutch, hold tightly
    a blanket of illusion
    to keep me warm
    There is no shelter,
    and I feel my nakedness
    as never before…
    It’s almost a comfort
to be taken to the door of truth
    It was all a joke,
    a ruse
    I’ve been used
    through all the wrenching
    twists of fate;
    It turns out
    I was never safe

Amazing...although disheartening. I wish there was a way to help ease your anguish, sincerely.
