Strange superstitions?

  1. Most people have some quirky little superstition or tradition that may have been passed down from generation to generation, or maybe it's something they've picked up on their own. I wanna know what your strange superstitions/traditions are..maybe the sight of a rainbow meaning something good is gonna happen, itchy palms meaning you'll come across money, breaking a mirror is seven years bad luck..whatever it may be, I wanna know yours! :biggrin:

    I don't think that I really have any odd ones as I'm not really superstitious, but a friend of mine says if she comes across a magpie, she has to salute it and say something like Hello Mr. Magpie. :laugh: I'm sure I'd give that person a funny look if I ever saw someone doing that on the street..

    My grandmother would always bless the animals that had been killed along the roadside. I still do that even though I really don't know why. So do my kids. :)
