Suicidal my entire life

I have continually destroyed myself and my family around me.
My father wants me dead.
My mother hates me.
And my brother laughs at me.
I've been suicidal from a young age.
I am not the best looking person, i'm selfish, materialistic,lazy, and not very smart.
I have had opportunities to kill myself.
But i am afraid.
I am seeking religion, I have therapy, and medications.
Help.

Hi,

Since you have therapy and medication, it sounds like you are getting help. Good for you. If you don't feel you have the right therapist try to find another one. You are probably not selfish and lazy and not smart. I have a feeling your parents are telling you that. Whatever the reason, I'm sure you're wrong about that. But if not, good for you for recognizing you're not perfect and start working on improving areas where you need to improve. It's work but you'll benefit enormously. Good luck!

You are perhaps depressed and mentally not well hun but none of the things that you say you are. i hope with meds and therapy both together you can start feeling stronger hugs
