I spent 20 years in the military and felt rather unfulfilled when I retired. Since then I have not succeeded much. I held two jobs and failed at both in the end. I have attempted to get new ones but no good. I can't help but think of ending it. I am one of those people who knows how to do it so there will not be any of that "attempted" anything. I have tried hard all of my life and I feel that I am nowhere. At 59 how long do I have left anyway.... I don't feel very important anymore. I guess I'm just biding my time until the right moment comes along...

20 years in the military is an achievement. What about volunteering? That could help give some feeling of importance and it would be helping others. Do you have a local VA group or anything you could join?
