Anyone else feel worse in the summer than they do in the winter?
some people feel worse because they cannot tolerate the heat in the summer the long days as well You are not alone in these feelings
summer makes me feel guilty for being a shut in. look outside and sun is shining and birds are chirping and I am sitting in my apartment with the curtains closed pretending nothing exists outside the walls. winter is easier in this regard. don't feel bad for staying inside all day.
bring it, winter! it's the middle of summer now and i want it to hurry up and get cold already. i really don't like the heat. =.=
so in answer to your question: no, you're not the only one.
You might have Summer SAD. You can read a bit about it here: http://www.everydayhealth.com/depression/when-summer-makes-you-sad.aspx Might be why you feel worse in summer...just a thought. I have regular SAD, so winter is usually a lot worse for me in terms of mood, but I tend to feel a lot more anxious in the summer.
