    When darkness
    falls
    and the sun
    retires
    the absence of
    light
    become a
    vaccuum
    sucking the life
    out of everything
    squelching the
    candle's flickering
    protest
    dousing the fire's
    roaring complaints

    it ushers in
    the thoughts
    that the light
    keeps at bay
    it pulls at
    the loose thread
    of your mind
    and unravels the
    tight hold
    on the things
    you keep hidden

I love this poem. It really hits me since I always seem to get most depressed at night.
