not in wales. here its crows.
    counting crows
a crow on a roof means someone will die,
a crow in the house is very bad luck, unless your cat kills it, but then they get the bad luck

^ Isn't that bad enough in itself?

Some that I've heard, but I don't where they originated.

    • If you make a wish when you pass under a bridge that a train is going over, it will come true.

    • Peacock feathers are bad luck for performers.

    • Make a wish when you blow out the candles on a birthday cake. And when you make the first cut into it.

    • Enclose or attach a penny if you are giving a knife as a wedding gift or you sever the bride and groom.

    • Find a penny pick it up and all the day you'll have good luck.

    • Never travel on the 13th of any month.

    • Don't purchase a home on a Friday.

About the only superstition I actively practice is avoidance of the number 13. I put little stock in superstitions, but this is the one that just sticks with me.
