please forgive me if this is in the wrong place. Today I went to the ROTC classroom for lunch and sat with Gunny (the gunnery sergeant). He's pretty cool, I guess because he looks out for me a lot even though I insist he shouldn't worry about me. Anyway, he asked me what was new and I was feeling pretty bad, so I opened up with "did you know thinking about suicide is a medical emergency?" this is how the rest of the conversation went: "Yes. Why do you ask?" "Oh...it was just interesting. I didn't know that before." "how did you find out?" "I read a lot, sir." "Are you contemplating a medical emergency?" "Um...no sir." "Alright. Do you want some pasta?" It made me feel better just knowing he cared enough to ask if I was okay. Not to mention the pasta tasted pretty good. For the sake of conversation: Who makes/made you feel good about things?
