    take me back to florida

    our lives are un predictible

our last days are not known

    it could be tomorrow

or years for all we know

but if my life were to end soon, i have 1 last request

take me back to florida, the place that i love best

    where people greet you smiling

they make you feel you belong

and to not be their at that time

    it just seems so wrong

    where everyone is happy

    and everyone is free

    florida is the place

    i really want to be

    take me back to florida,

    sit me by the pool

i'll sit until my worries go

and their is no worry left at all

    i'l watch the children playing

    and maybe i'll join in

it wouldn't do no harm for me

to join them all and swim

so take me back to florida,

    on mainstreet USA

i'll enjoy some time at disneyland

    have a magical day

going on the rides, and watching the parades

    getting hot in queue lines,

    then cooling in the shade

    remembering the times

of how it used to be

    when i was living easy

and i felt so care free

so take me back to florida,

    the nights they come alive

i'll stay all day at disney

and leave the park at 5

    i'll go to planet hollywood

    i'll visit all the shops

    catching all the night life

    please don't make me stop

i'll stay out late till midnight

    and live like yesterday

    even though my happyness,

    it's now all slipped away

    take me back to florida,

    take me to wall-mart

the place it is so cluttered,

i don't know where to start

    i'll walk the isles quickly,

and start to feel at home

for when i'm not in florida,

    i feel so alone

    so..

    take me back to florida,

    i'm sure you'll understand

    my memories their are precious

    from the pool to disneyland

    so if i die tomorrow,

    just grant my last request

    take me back to florida,

the place that i love best

Your poem conveys a moving sense of longing for times that were more innocent/happy for you.

Daniel, this poem is so awesome, really I cant even come up with the words to say how much this hits home to me. (esp the walmart, lol)

I hope that one day you do make it back to your Florida, and if you dont mind I would like to share this with my H, so he can understand me.
