Fat and ugly, useless and unloving

Told time and again your worthless and nothing

Hit with a hammer and stabbed with a knife

Yes Iʼve suffered a pretty much miserable life

The scars etched in so deeply over the years

Growing ever so tiresome of living with fears

Why would you hit me and treat me this way?

And why did I believe the evil things that you would say?

Yes Iʼve been bullied and kicked down in the past

But those days are behind me Iʼve suffered my last

To whom It may concern please feel no shame

The foundations I created so Iʼll take the blame

Donʼt feel guilty for putting me down

The guilt is all mine for sticking around

Yes I was a nice guy, placid and week

But I now see these qualities are what make me unique

Iʼm not going to kid anyone that the battle is won

I believe in my heart that thereʼs permanent damage done

But now I see the sunshine instead of the rain

I donʼt see it as time wasted or years thrown down the drain

Now I only see positives in the things that I do

I try and be upbeat and let my personality shine through

I can speak my mind freely the old me has gone

Helped by those who love me and who I fondly look upon

People that have hurt me and people that Iʼve hated

Take a good look at me now and see what youʼve created

Thanks to my exʼs I need you no longer

Thanks to my exʼs for making me stronger
