Travel to a place that few have seen,
a place where you can escape,
    you can scream.
And no one will hear you,
    no one will care,
you can do what you want

    you can walk around bare.
    No one will stare.
    The silence of the mind,
a silence like no other kind.
None of the sounds you hear at home,
no buzzing of a cell phone,

none of the burdens you’ve grown and known,
    the yelling,
    the showing and telling.
Go to a place where you are not prey,
a place where you can get away,
    like that bright day.

    That bright day years ago,
    when you were elated,
    not frustrated.
Like you have been every day since then.
    You were ten
    Will never forget when,

when he raised his hands for the first time,
    Almost knocked her blind.
Could smell the salt off her tears,
    It would take years,
to get the picture out the mind,
thinking about it all the time.

Go to a place where you can escape.
Travel to a place where there is no rape,
no violence, no sin and no mistake.
Travel to this place for your sanity’s sake,
travel with the monies that asshole make.
And when you get back, you’ll go to her wake.
