The number one and first rule
    That you should not forget
Is to always say your 'sorry'
    But never 'I regret'
    The second one is easier
    An easier game to play
    Always leave things open
    To a 'maybe' or 'someday'
    And after two another rule
    A simple one to three
    Always blame your other half
To the rest of the family
When in doubt just call upon
    Your friend at number four
    Never forget past grievances
    They help even the score
Weve almost hit half way now
Youve left your house and home
    Why not leave everything else
    Your debts, mortage and loan
So number five has set you free
    From all your money woes
Number six will help you now
Be free of all your foes
    Go crying to your inlaws
    And beg them to forget
And if you think six was devious
How much worse can you get?
The last two rules are simple
And make the count to eight
    Seven, never care for others
As that leads to troubled fate
    Keep your thoughts about yourself
    Through heartlessness and hurting
You cannot miss if you do not care
For that which you are deserting
    The final rule for divorcees
Is by far the most import
If you follow just one of these
Keep this one as your thought
To make sure no one questions you
Or queries why you left them
    Repress your childrens ever word
And then fuck off, carpe diem
