the author drowns

    with rocks
    in her pockets
    weary eyes
    in stone sockets

    the author
    sought the sea

    so scantily clad
    in her night attire
    the moon did wax
    her soul did tire

    the ebb and
    the flow of
    the tide indigo

    she sank deep
    below, bellowing
    “here we go!”

    the author
    met the water


    to stony
    silence

    PS; I think Virginia was the saddest-looking beautiful woman. I have her bio with lovely pictures of her, young and older. What a terrible thing to do to the ocean.
