I love how that beautiful mask fits
Hide the bruises and blood soaked tears
You think its all something that makes you ugly
But I’m here to tell you that the world only made you think that

I love how you wear that skin sweater
Hiding all the scars from everyone
You think the emotional cuts will send you to oblivion
But I want you to jump off the cross

You pray to the sky and you get nothing
You cry to the almighty and scream that he doesn’t love you
How can you say you have no happiness?
We all love you with our hearts but you pay attention to those that cause you pain

I love how you smile when the world needs you to
Even though you have all that built up pain
It makes my heart melt to see that beautiful smile
But I cry for your pain and suffering hiding behind it

You have become one of my flawed heroes
You show me that beauty can exist in the darkest of corners
It takes my breath away when you have the ability to keep breathing
Even when on the inside you feel like there is no heart pumping

I believe you can be happy
I already see you acquire the look
And its something I don’t want taken away from you
But looking happy and being happy are two very different things
