    Underneath the sleeping stones
The dead lay themselves to rest
    Given back their worldly debts
Only six feet below the rest

I sometimes wish I could trade a place
With the bones under my face
No longer to suffer my breathing
Or need my heart a beating

    The dead don’t cast shadows
    They don’t need to drink
    Sometimes the lines waver
Just a little on the brink
