    The city sleeps
    Tucked in her bed
    Thoughts of you
    Tangle my head
    Forceing my feet
    Paceing the streets
    Why can't I forget you?
    These memories defeat
    Any chance I might have
    Of forgetting your face
    Your lingering smell
    My unwilling escape
    You were nothing but danger
Since the first time I tasted
    Now I battle the anger
    Its only been wasted
    One last emotion
    One more attempt
    Pointless devotion
    Ends in contempt
    Why can't I forget you?
    Why can't I let go?
Dont you know how I miss you?
    I've no place to go
    These feet keep on paceing
    Trudging the time
    Thats ticking against me
    I still look behind
    While the city still sleeps
    Streets cold and empty
    My lonely heart beats
    How could you forget me?

Beautiful and powerful, as always!  Sad, but lovely all the same!  You've such talent, my dear friend! I like it very much!!

  3. I don't think... I don't...that you've been forgotten - just that the other is still trying to find their own way. Curse me if I'm wrong - you're not forsaken.
Cross my heart and hope to die (and we don't use those terms loosely 'round here...)
