i look into the abyss of unending darkness
a bottomless pit of deepening black
too close to the edge, i slip and fall
and i sink into the quagmire

i struggle to climb up to the light
but i can not do it
    the blackness envelops me
and i start to drown in its depths

    around me i hear screams
    of sexual abuses, emotional
    abuses and physical abuses
and i realize it is my voice

i try to cover my ears
    but my hands won't move
the darkness closes in on me
i can only hope that it is
    my time to die

    until then
    the the deepening black
    sings its siren song
and i slip further into its
    darkness
