http://www.time.com/time/video/player/0,32068,44600013001_1929951,00.html?iid=redirect-tunnels I read this fascinating article in TIME concerning the Gaza tunnel smugglers, who bring in everything from snack food and appliances, to livestock, zoo animals, and cars from across the Egyptian border. They remain the only true lifeline of normality for the largely unemployed and blockaded denizens of the strip. It's a highly interesting read, and one of the few non-politicized stories on the area. It also delivers a refreshingly human view of the Palestinians that is sorely lacking in much American media. There's more to these plucky people than terrorism, extremism, and militancy. Many of them are just trying to make a living, just like the rest of us, and just like their Israeli counterparts. Hope you all enjoy!
