I know there's already a music thread here, but speaking from experience and having looked at the thread itself I know that a lot of depressed people are prone to listen to things that only reaffirm their mood.

So this thread's one to suggest music that might brighten up someone's day - at least for a little while!

    I'll start (appropriately) with:

Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Reasons To Be Cheerful: Part Three

On the Road to Find Out- cat stevens

if you need to listen to something happy but don't have time to go through my litany than just listen to the last one... haha sorry about that..a bit over-eager

edit: oh! you HAVE to listen to These Dreams of You or Caravan by Van Morrison because it is freakin amazing and joyous and wonderful ...pretty much the entire moondance album makes me extremely happy

I need to add something...fair warning: all these songs are happy..or fun to dance to..or whatever, but they actually end up making me depressed..sad that I have yet to acquire and maintain that feeling in my life. But they're worth it..for the fleeting joy at least.
