The 'like' button

Hi, randomguy9. Yes, it would be easy and nice to have for quick support or thanks, but what happens is that people begin to count up and compare number of "likes" with others, and then feelings get hurt because some might not have (m)any "likes" on their profile, threads, or posts. Better not to have the button and a running tally of such things so we can avoid hurt feelings. :)

When we DO like something someone writes, it takes only a second or two to write that in the thread. "Hey, I like what you said!"

I hope this helps you understand our decision in spite of the good points you made for having the like button.

Thank You for answering that question, I have been wondering what the likes on the system were for, I never knew, now I do and they are gone! lol what a relief. I was saying to myself, Self, I wonder who does the liking, I was feeling left Out, Joking, but I have never ever felt left out here!
