    Dear fellow Coffee House goers,

Watch as Speedy speeds back in time to retrieve his favorite songs from each decade... he hopes to share the pleasure of music that he derives... dating back into his parents' generation.. I, Speedy, write in this thread with the hope that we can dance to the music... deep, deep into the night... May these songs bring you joy and beautiful memories..

    1) "Lean on Me" and Bill Withers: When I hear this song, I get the urge to dance... and head into the future... to see what is in store for us all.. I have learned to be careful what I wish for.. While I may not relate to these songs at a much deeper level, I am surrounded by heroes.. that help me drift away and enjoy this wonderful form of expression..

    2) "Amazed" and Lonestar: One of my sister M's favorites... I am proud to say that this song has grown on me over the years.. to slowly become one of my all-time favorites..

Enjoy.. and don't be embarrassed to be honest about what you think of these songs.. :] Take care and be well.

When one man asked me what kind of music I enjoy, it struck me that I feel out of my element when answering... because the realm of music is so broad and I have but a surface understanding of the music genres out there.. With that said, I would have to say pop - mainstream - mostly radio music.. is my preference. I also cannot stay the heck away from catchy tunes.. After I listen to my cheesy tunes, I play what I hear on the piano.. Gosh, them tunes stick to me like sticky tack.. and I stay glued to my radio and YouTube all day long!

In addition, I dedicate this post and thread to Jim & John.. who have been so supportive and understanding.. and first suggested a thread like this.. of having my own compilation of favorite "classic" tunes to look back on.. Classic in my mind, but remember I am a young'un.. ;)
