    Searching for material to do some essay, I stumbled over this and ... it has just the title I had in mind for the essay, but it doesn't help that much --- at all, anyway I liked it and wanted to share it because I find it beautiful, I hope some will like it as much, that's why I'm getting it here :)

    The Poet as Archetype

    Poet as someone who:

    * Experiences life intensely through the senses

    * Notices & cares deeply

    * Seeks truth & connection

    * Bears witness & gives voices to what observes, feels, knows

    * Seeks order & significance through language

    * Finds meaning & identity through language

    * Attends to, trusts & advocates for the inner life

    * Cultivates a capacity for metaphorical thought

    * Knows how to listen, values contemplation

    * Wrestles & dances & sings & swims

    * Feels & values the deepening of heart, spirit & mind through writing
