To clear things up, the stages of grief that are most widely accepted are: numbness, guilt, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Thats what I've modelled this on.

    numbness that cannot
    be fathomed unless one has
    experienced it

Daddy dearest, what did I do?
I haven’t done anything to hurt you
    I’m sorry, ok?
I hate it when Mummy makes you so sad
I get really scared when you get that mad
But please come back, I promise I’ll be better
    I’ll get higher grades
I’ll be the bestest at it all
    Just like you
Anything to please you, Daddy dear

Mummy’s locked herself in her room
I can hear her crying, and it’s all she’ll do
She’s blaming herself, because you’re gone
Mummy’s saying she’s been a bad bad girl
    She promises to be better

    We’ll be better, I promise
    Both me and her
    We’ve both been bad girls

If you come back, we’ll be so much better
    Pretty please?
    We miss you...

Happiness is something I do not want or need
There is no happiness in the world now that you’re gone
    There’s no sunlight, nor laughter
    But I don’t want it
Instead give me a pain as pleasing as your sigh
And may my dreams be blessed with gentle darkness

It’s been a year to the day
    Since you’ve been gone
    But I can gladly say
    We’re moving on

I still think of you though
    I wonder how you are
Are you watching us, from afar?
    Life isn’t the same
    Without you here
But I can feel your smile
    Reaching to me
    And I know one day
    I’ll join you being free

But that day is not now
I have my life left to live
    You’re gone, but not forgotten
    The melody remains
I still sing your sweet song
    In my mind

Hey sweetie I love the poem. It is very touching. Also it is emotional and deep. I am here if you ever need to talk. I love the way you worded it. Take care and I love you. :cheekkiss  :cheekkiss  :cheekkiss  :cheekkiss
