    action without thinking
    Grappling, grasping,
    letting go, yet
    to find
    a reason to go through
    with all the things
    that I must yet do
    Behind, inside,
    invisible push
    were it true
    that still, in darkness
    I am guided
    as once before,
when I had only to knock,
    with a weary fist,
    and the door
    was opened

    Yet dew, as hope,
    clings to the withering vine
    in the dawn,
as to all the rest who are not yet gone
    but growing,
    what of those already knowing?
Softening it is, or this the test,
that I’ve finally met my best
    and must I die
    while trying
    to hold on…
