I use my poetry to express feelings that would otherwise be overwhelming...I find this a very helpful way to get through the rough times...J

    The voice of doom
    does not leave me.
    She haunts my nights
    and my days.

    She tells me to count
    my hours.
    To execute the plans
    I have made.

    I am tired.
    And hurt.
    And aching.

    I want nothing more
    than some rest.

    The voice of doom
    is calling.

    She knows
    I may fail
    this test.

 You are strong J.. I really like this poem though. I think it kinda shows how hopeless it may seem at times. But we can all make it through.. Take care.

Thanks Lou, IV and Thorn...and yes, I hear her sometimes, as we all do and most of the time, I can tell her to take a hike...as I said, that is why I write...thanks for the concern...J

I do the same thing. Sometimes writing is such an outlet, that if I were denied its benefits, I would go insane. You are a kind, strong, caring person who will always find a way to absorb what comes your way.

I enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing. :)

Sometimes, my poetry is my alter-ego, so to say...and I feel blessed to have this outlet as you do J...hope you are OK...J
