The Want to Live

During my life I've had three near death experiences. All unsuccessful attempts. Where by the will of God, EMT's and Doctors I'm still here.
I liked living on the edge. Party hard. Well Friday Oct 3rd. I had a massive heart attack at a so called friends house. The artery coming out of my heart was completely blocked. When the Doctor came into see me. He told me my heart was only functioning at 30 percent, and wouldnt get any better. Needless to say he said these things in front of my mother. Bless her soul. Ive put her thru hell. I cant begin to explain how much it has opened my eyes. There is so much in this world I haven't seen. My kids get married, grandchildren etc. For today my dreams live on. Each day I'll thank god I'm alive and thank him for giving me another chance.:biggrin:

I am glad you received medical intervention quickly enough that you are still with us. Your children will be blessed that you will be here to share those experiences with them. :hug:

I'm glad to hear you got help and that your outlook on your life has changed. I think you have just taken the biggest step on the path you want to be. Good luck and dont forget you have friends here that will support you and help keep you going along that path!

I can relate to you. My dad had a triple bypass and I saw what he went thru. I have had one mild heart attack. I didn't end up with blockage but I do have scar tissue on my heart from my attack.
I have given up pretty much everything they suggested except smoking. I started when I was twelve and I am fifty one now. There is no help as far as making me quit. I have managed to cut it down but I still need it.
I have already told my family that when I have another one I do not want surgery. Just let me go. I have a living will saying do not resusitate, I need to add the part about surgery on it. Oh Well Take Care! I am glad you came out of it alright. just limit what you do and start walking to help make it a little stronger.~Joseph~
