I am sorry you are in so much pain. I have watched Awakenings. It surely does not have a good ending. I am wondering if it would help if you went into the chat area. Anything to help get through the night. I know we have never met. But I am sending these for you :flowers: And if its okay, one of these  I hope they help a bit

    hi frantic

sorry you are feeling so bad
i agree with the other member

i've never seen that movie, but it sounds sad... i don't know your full situation but what time is it where you are?
being alone is unhelpful yes. can you go visit someone? or can you ask someone over?
is there anything you can do to keep your mind busy?
or you can just keep talking to us. You feel alone, but you're not, you have all of us here :console:

There's Light At The End Of The Tunnel

    There's Light
There’s light at the end of the tunnel.
There’s calm at the end of the storm.
There’s rest at the end of life’s journey,
And a hearth that is welcome and warm.

There’s a Star on the top of the mountain,
You can touch when the last crag is scaled.
There’s a certain reward for the faithful,
At the point where they think they have failed.

There’s spring at the end of each winter
And behind the black cloud, there is blue.
There’s a song at the heart of all sorrow
    And happiness waiting for you.

thank you. it was middle of the night last night, so noone to talk to.
my husband called me at 2am, all panicked, saying he had a really bad dream that something had happened to me, so he was worried sick and scared to death. that was so strange, seeing what state i was in lastnight and what i was planning.

i'm really confused now. not sure what i should/will do.

"awakenings" is based on a true story, it takes place in a hospital in the bronx in 1969. there isa group of patients, post-encephalitic, who all became catatonic. a new doctor finds a drug that brings themb ack. watching them enjoying life again after decades of being basically dead gives you such a high, it's pure happiness. and then eventually the drug stops working and they all go back to where they were before. it's like someone punched you in the stomach. robin williams is the doctor, and robert deniro the first trial patient.
it's a brilliant movie, but so depressing.

    The Angel In Disguise

To paraphrase ‘Desiderata’: You are a beloved child of the Universe, the same as the Sun, the Moon and the Stars. You are a precious and unique being of light. Whether you are as yet aware of this or not, we are all on a spiritual pathway. Don’t shy away from this expression. All it means is the rediscovery of the fact that in truth we are a spirit and soul who is only temporarily encased in matter. Before God you are responsible for yourself and for the life you have been given. You are here to become aware that all life is subject to Universal laws and to learn to conduct your life responsibly and in accordance with any spiritual knowledge you may find.

Try not to miss any of the opportunities the Universe is presently offering you. If you open your inner eyes, you cannot fail to recognise that your depression is in truth a gift of major significance that wishes to come into your conscious awareness. Any kind of deep suffering is invariably an Angel in disguise who is reaching out for us. Don’t refuse its invitation, but courageously reach out for its hand and walk with it to find out what it may wish to bring you. The very first thing is the knowledge of your true nature and that is your passport to immortality! To find it, that’s what you came into this lifetime for. Don’t throw this chance away or you could be very sorry when you return to your true home.

    The Angel In Disguise
There is nothing I can give you that you have not,
But there is much, so very much that –
While I cannot give it – you can take.
No Heaven can come to us,
Unless our heart finds rest in today: take Heaven.
No peace lies in the future
That is not hidden in this moment: take peace.

The gloom of the world is but a shadow.
Behind it – yet within everybody’s reach – there is joy.
There is a radiance and glory in the darkness,
Could we but see; and to see, we have only to look.
    I beseech you to look.

Life is so generous a giver, but we –
Judging its gifts by their covering –
Too often cast them away as ugly or heavy or hard.
Remove the covering and you will find beneath it
The living splendour, woven with the love,
Wisdom and power of the Divine.

    Welcome it, grasp it,
And you touch the Angel’s hand
    That brings it to you.
Everything we call a toil, a sorrow or a duty,
Believe me, the Angel’s hand is there.

That gift is there and the wonder of an
    Over-shadowing presence
That protects us, is joyous too.
Be not content with these joys,
For they conceal even greater gifts.

And so, at this time, I greet you –
Not quite as the world sends greetings,
But with profound esteem and with a prayer
That for you, now and forever,
The day may break and the shadows flee away.

    Fifteenth Century Prayer

With extra big healing hugs - Aquarius
