Why is it that about 90% of the people on the internet use it mostly for sexual reasons...porn, cybering etc.???

    I hate guys..obsesed with sex!
People add me on msn, they first thing they ask is "do u have any pix?"
    I say no.
then they say do you wanna "cyber" or "im horny"

    I mean fuck off!

No im not here to fucking cyber, i dont give a shit if ur horny! go fuck a tree but get the fuck away from me.
To have someone from THIS site tell me that just now is absolutely sickening!
    eww.

Why cant people have normal conversations, why cant people not think about sex for one second, why do men see women as just good for sex?? fucking hell

Well, females do it just as much actually.

I don't usually talk to people on those programs anymore, unless I know them well.

I used to be on AIM nearly every day as a teen though. Back then when it would happen, I would often post a picture of like a 70 yr. old man for laughs.

Yeah I've noticed that. I join online communities a lot just to make friends and the only things I can find are people talking about sex and nothing else. I think it makes me uncomfortable more than anything because I have no experience what so ever and I'm twenty-one. I always feel weirded out when I see that kind of stuff.
I join online dating sites too and when people add me to MSN from them all they want to talk about is sex. i want to get to know the guy but he is just looking for someone to have sex with. Which is kind of stupid when you think about it, you don't know who you are meeting. What if the woman he was talking to was all diseased? It's almost the same as picking someone up from a bar.

  5. im not logging into SF right this moment today as i dont feel good enough but stilll sometimes view a few posts while logged out usually without replying.Hoqwcwe i felt compelled to reply to your post.

I really feel for you and anyone who has similar experiences to what you describe.i know what it is like to receive unwanted or threatening sexual attention or stuff your not comfortable with.

im not saying people here are not human or do not need to talk about certain issues or indeed that relationships between members may not end up developing [with mutual consent of both parties.]However my personal wish would be that if anyone here felt that something had happened they felt uncomfortable with and/or that they felt were inappropriate and/or thought that perhaps a member may be only or mainly using this site to initiate sexualised contact with others then somehow they would feel able to approach the staff or the site about this in an appropriate manner so that things could be monitored.

im sorry for the experience you had.i think sometimes experiences like this can really put people off the internet or whatever sometimes but i hope most of the people here feel safe here at SF of all places. This is a place,of all places, where you should have the right to feel safe.

im sorry if ive said any of that wrong or offended anyone.

im sorry youve gone through this hun.i may PM you if I feel better later.im sorry i cant help you much right now.

oh god ive been through this way to many times ive lost count. i eventually got tired of getting cross about it. its too sad and pathetic to waste my energy on. i avoid them now completely and if they do pop up i just blow them down because if they dont have any respect for you then they dont deserve any respect! one guy once sent a pic of his enlarged *ahem*, i just posted it around to everyone i knew so they could have a laugh!

  8. I so agree. I made a post similar to this in Uncertainty moths back. It bothers me also. To think some guys don't even see you as a person but as just sex like you don't matter. It's hurtful and annoying.

The whole aura of internet really is the distribution of pornography, I wouldn't be surprised if 60%+ of websites were in some shape or fasion, pornographic. Even today, sites like Facebook, Myspace, and the like, are all social sites, but like you said, they add eachother, and the first message is always the same. I think in many cases some guys do it because they're horny, and some do it just because it's supposed to be 'funny' and if they just happen to, they pursue with being horny and the like.

Really, though, it's degrading to both genders. It shows guys are animalistic, horny, and disregarding to girls feelings, and it shows that girls are not respected, and used for these things. There's not really a way to say which is worse, because it's just altogether bad.

Though, if you meet anyone (namely guys) over the internet, I'd say a good 65-75% of them will react that way in one way or another, sooner or later. It's somewhat unavoidable, unless you find a guy with a shred of dignity and respect for women and themselves.
