Took a second dose of Ativan today. Helped yesterday. Still feeling anxious today. Every Sunday for the last month and a half has sucked. I really hate this. Daylight savings doesn't help. Going to try to make it to next morning.
Ativan is an 'instant' acting drug is it not? This might be a good thing as you can use as and when needed - taking the max dose into account of course.
Is your Sunday usually a special one that's somehow changed. I'm not working so Sunday seems like most other days apart from the fact less shops are open.
As for daylight savings - we have this in the UK whereby we we move the clocks forward an hour and then back again - to have more daylight hours for farmers to work. Comes after a wartime temporary move which like all govt promises are usually not honoured. Here we are 60 years later with the same issue.
Your suspicions about daylight leading to a better mood are correct in my book - but on the other hand anyone feeling down might be less inclined to go out much so maybe its a bit of a catch 22 for some! Either way, it certainly makes you feel better when you get more sunlight or daylight. Depending on your sons age - it is likely important for him also - plus, lots of fresh air will do the world of good.
Sorry to hear your not even able to read. Maybe try some kind of easy to watch movie with a pleasant kind of feel to it. A lot of movies are almost a pornographic violence - I think that scientists have actually discovered that the pleasure zones of the brain are firing up to violent TV and images. I read and watch documentaries when I'm not in any creative mood myself. I pick and choose though.
Also, if you've got a bit of energy, you can always just have a nice shower and maybe feel half human again. It's time to spring clean also - so maybe you can make a list of things to do when your feeling a bit better in yourself. Do you have a garden for example?
How old is your son by the way?
Wondering what you'd do if he was not there is a waste of time! He is there - and so are you. I'm sure that you will be able to overcome whatever problems might have set you on this detour along the road of life. It IS just a detour - being down is a natural part of life - but being too down is obviously no good for us.
Hope you feel a bit better in the morning. Keep talking, that's part of the key to recovery. If nowhere else then you have here. I suppose we all do.
