  1. Contemplating my own demise,
The ice I skate is thin.
Slip and fall, get up, repeat,
As I battle my monster within.
Self mutilation at the tip of my tongue,
    The taste is bitter sweet.
Thinking about if I can control,
The fate I someday will meet.
The push and pull it tears me up,
I fight to put me together.
We dance the dance to fall down,
    No one lives forever.
Looking hard to find the light,
I walk in the dark on my own.
The cold is a dismal reminder of death,
I don't want to be alone.

  3. Thank you! Most of the time when I'm feeling upset if I write something down (I write A LOT of poetry) I feel a little better. And I think this one portrays my mood at the time very well.

Writing can be a gentle balm,
