lost in thoughts that werent her own
caused my wife to leave our home
myself two kids and sixteen years
ended that day immersed in tears

a beautiful woman so proud and strong
fought for her kids from the the day they were born
she loved me too and our little home
and now she has left us all alone

it wasnt her fault its not what she would do
her love was unquestionable for us thats true
but the hole thats left is gaping and wide
and my heart is heavy deep inside

i hope she is out there watching over us
helping to guide us from above
but not to have her here with me
is eating me up im sure you can see

i had planned to be with her till the day i died
many years from now and by her side
but thats been taken out of my hands
as we were planning to renew our wedding bands

i dont know where i go from here
but i know each day i shed a tear
for my true love who has gone away
and wont lie with me another day

her engaging smile and soft spoken voice
now gone from our home replaced by a void
maybe someday we will meet again
in another life or another plain

so goodbye dear wife mother and friend
i wish i could have helped you at the end
to vivienne whom i loved through and through
from paul ,stephanie and wee paul aidan too.

Sorry such a delayed read for me, but I started to cry. I'm sorry for your loss hun, that poem is beautiful.

  9. What a powerful, cathartic, honest way you have of expressing your deep sorrow and loss. I know it seems like little can help or seems useful at such times, but letting it out, especially in such a heartwreching though beautiful way may help certain parts of you heal, inspite of the gaping scar. Though the wounds are fresh... It's a lovely tribute, not only to your own very real pain, but to someone who sounds like they had a lovely though tormented spirit. It takes an INCREDIBLE amount of love to see both sides!---To want so hard to understand.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss... My heart is with you.

thanks everyone, i showed it to my trauma counseller and she asked if i would let her use it in their booklet so i agreed.
She said as it was aman that wrote it it may help other men in my situation, though i can still barely belive what has happened myself
