I traveled on that lonely road,
The road that I knew so well,
I kept on walking till my shoes worn thin,
Expecting life to go my way,
It never changed, it stayed the same,
Yet I wouldn't let it go,
I kept on following those same ol' tracts
Expecting them to lead me somewhere someday,
One day I looked and found myself in a hole,
That I had worn into the ground,
I can see now that through my walk,
I was digging my own grave.

This is so well written...I have been there and more, digging my own grave and pouring dirt on it...those moments are true awakenings
