    The grayness of the day
    fades softly into night.
    And covers up the stars
    vain attempt to light.

    A quite mist moves slowly
    across the sunset’s glow.
    A cleansing of the spirit
    only broken hearts will know.

    To bathe away the sorrow
    the sadness and the pain.
    The memories are washed away
    by a gentle twilight rain.

    Dawn will break with sunshine.
The storm will have moved on.
And all the hurt once lingering
    will quietly be gone.

Mellow and optimistic; there's always something special about poems in which the rain is involved.

"Refreshing" in many senses of that word! Thank you for the hopefulness!
