I've just written two songs which i'm going to use when I get a band together and I thought I might aswell share them with you, as a present of some kind.

These are draft versions so they might not be superb, as of yet.

    Flood of Dismay

    Verse 1

I look down on my world below
Why does everything move so slow?
I walk across my holy land
What do I have to show?

    Verse 2

I see my Sun rise above my head
But then it escapes my eyes
In my mind, all I hear
Are the lies that I have fought

    Bridge

    In the past... I…

    Chorus

I used to fly up to the sky
On my own, is how I lived
When I cried it started to rain
My life would start to flood

    Verse 3

I try to hold back the pain
    Nothing can keep me sane
Did I ever make any sense?
    I never saw any difference

    Bridge

    In the past... I…

    Chorus

I used to fly up to the sky
On my own, is how I lived
When I cried it started to rain
My life would start to flood

    Verse 4

Do you see what I believe?
I never tried to fight for my life
All that I was is all that you saw
    Did you see-eee me-ee?

    Chorus (modified)

I still fly up to the sky
On my own, is how I live
When I cry it starts to rain
    My life starts to flood

    Bridge 2

    Can you see-ee me-ee?

The Eye That Sees All That Is And All That Will Be

    Verse 1

    Darkness on the horizon
    Is all that is visible
    As time wastes away
    We’re stuck in the middle
    Of a catastrophic event
    Nothing else is plausible

    Bridge

Our self-inflicted time bomb has started to tick...

    Verse 2

    Eyelids open as the
    World belatedly decays
    Pupils focus on minute
    Evidence of existence
As the world refuses to spin
    It’s earth revolution

    Chorus

    The eye that sees,
    All that is and
    All that will be
    Has faded away
    With dreams and
    Hopes of another
    Day…

    Verse 3

    Pollution has robbed us
    Of our excuses to ignore
The damage that we have inflicted
On this once pure world of ours
    Mankind is next in line
    For the electric chair

    Chorus

    The eye that sees,
    All that is and
    All that will be
    Has faded away
    With dreams and
    Hopes of another
    Day…

    Bridge

We knew this day would come but…
    Not so soo-oo-oo-n

Going to add a third song... This one may appear triggering to some so I do apologise.

    Apparent Eye of a Needle

    Verse 1

Slip inside the eye of a needle
Keep my hands away from the edge
Silent echoes of guilt gain a voice
A state of calmness is interrupted
As my justice is served to me
    Upon a plate of irony

    Verse 2

Eye to eye with my former
    Arguments are raised about
Who is best in the eyes of
    My acknowledged followers
My apparent present or former self
    Deviant memories spring to mind

    Chorus

    I’m lost inside my head
Only one thing can be said
While laying down on her bed
Why can’t I escape from this dread?
Everything I touch turns red… Red
I think I’m losing myself within

    Verse 3

    Enter my world of self-flattery
    Examine the crimes that I
    Have committed upon those
    Who are deemed innocent
When no one knows what acts
    They could of committed

    Chorus

    I’m lost inside my head
Only one thing can be said
While laying down on her bed
Why can’t I escape from this dread?
Everything I touch turns red… Red
I think I’m losing myself within

    Bridge

Her heart used to beat to a rhythm of joy…
Till I ripped it out from her…
    What have I done?

I'm really glad you like them and i'll probably have them recorded sometime in April... I've written another one that I want to share.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Born Torn

    Bridge

Please forgive me as I reminisce

    Verse 1

I stand here in open memories
Of everything that I had missed
    Fears from my past summon
A pool of tears beneath the
    Overcast shadow of myself

    Chorus

Born torn as his mothers heart broke
Inside, all he can find is limited pride
He tried to look at himself through
The eye of another soul while
All he could see was a divide of
    His positive and negative mind

    Verse 2

    Deafening screams are assaulting me
Insults are flying through my ears
No one else is here I am the only one
The air that I breathe is violating me
As it weakens my lungs to a decadence

    Verse 3

My mind battles to filter my memories
As I expose myself to more remorse
I opened the door wide for all emotions
Hoping I might find a sense of happiness
Yet I have yet to find a source of clarity

    Chorus

Born torn as his mothers heart broke
Inside, all he can find is limited pride
He tried to look at himself through
The eye of another soul while
All he could see was a divide of
    His positive and negative mind

    Bridge

They said I should never dwell on the past…

    Verse 4

After searching beneath the Earth of my Mind
My soul has sunk deeper in its shell
Which they used to call… hell
I’m chained to things that no longer exist
I’m doomed to remain with things that I have missed
    Cowering within myself

    Chorus

Born torn as his mothers heart broke
Inside, all he can find is limited pride
He tried to look at himself through
The eye of another soul while
All he could see was a divide of
    His positive and negative mind

    Verse 5 (Small)

    I can’t break free.
