I don't cut, but I hit myself. Bats to the head, slamming doors on fingers/hands, (used to throw myself down stairs, hoping to break my neck or forget things). Is it as bad as cutting? I've been doing it for a while now...

I don't know how to stop, or if I want too.

Its just feels like an release.

I know I should stop, but I don't know how too.

Sorry if I wasted your time.

Some would say it's as bad whilst others would say it isn't. Regardless of that, you could potential be killed if you throw yourself down stairs or do some serious damage to yourself.

Have you spoken about this to anyone like a councilor or someone professional.

it's not a matter or whether it's worse or not
if you're hurting yourself at all it's a cause for concern

i've done the same thing since i was a little kid
jumped off things, fallen down stairs etc... i tend to just dislocate my shoulders a lot... so it's not really a release anymore.
this can get quite addictive and progress into other forms of self-harm so it's best to see a professional about it, and find out the cause of the problem.

    good luck hun

i bang my wrists together until they bruise and also bang my head against the wall if i havent got the cutting urge

i think it is whatever you feel will get the pain thats inside of you out is self-harm
