I haven't seen the sky in months.

    Blue I'm told
Or bright red, the vivid colours
    Of imposing storm.

But all I see is grey -
    The forecast for today.
    In my bubble,
    I watch the ground,
    So afraid to stumble,
    Don't dare look up,
    Dare to dream,
Dreams are crushed by oncoming black clouds,
    I've seen it before.

    The perfect sky,
    Lost on me.

I'm nothing that I thought I could be.

  4. I too can relate to it all too well. It's powerful for me. I used to feel a connection with Nature that I sorely miss right now, yes as you say, watching the ground, afraid to look up lest I fall yet again. It's happenend too often, or worse yet the ground was stolen out from under me. It's hard to find a rich and wholesome "Circle of Life" in those many experiences. Your words touched me...
