  1. No one ever told me to let go. So I held on.
I sank to the bottom where there was no air.
    I couldn’t breath.
I looked around and waited for someone to sink down too.
    No one ever showed up.
    So I waited.
I couldn’t die. Not yet anyway.
Someone else had to sink before I could allow myself to die.
And still no one showed up.
So I swam to the top.
    I could breath again.
I looked around on the surface.
    It was empty.
    Just like the bottom.
No one ever told me to let go.
No one ever told me to hold on.
That’s when I realized that there isn’t anyone there.
    There never really was.

Any comments and critiques would be nice. And don't go soft on me, be as harsh as possible. Thanks :)
