urges, crisis line.

    other than saying "don't do it , it's bad for your health" what are crisis lines supposed to do in terms of helping you stop carrying out an attempt?
    because this is what i had the last time

    "don't do it"

    its somebody to listen i guess.

    they are a 'shoulder to cry on' etc

    ok, i don't trust my local CRT though. ....talking to them about personal stuff other than my urges, is just out of the question for me.

    As Perry's said - to be a shoulder for those who need support, I guess ... Some don't always say "Don't do it", though - most are confidential.... I don't mean to plug, but you could try e-mailing Samaritans? They're non-judgemental, confidential and don't tell you what to do - you're in the driving seat with them: jo@samaritans.org .
