Will I always be a victim? I am not responsible for what happened to me, but I am responsible for my life now. Why then do I feel like I have no control? What do I feel so damn helpless? Why do I still feel trapped? Why is it so damn hard to recover?

maybe you feel like this because someone had so much control over you. the fact that you see yourself as responsible for your life now suggests to me that you are winning against what happened to you so please dont think of yourself as a victim but rather someone who is claiming what is rightfully theirs back. i know its hard x

Hopefully with time you will start to feel like the survivor you are. Hopefully with time, support and therapy you will start to feel more in control, less helpless and trapped. I'm not saying it's easy, but it is doable. Each day you fight you are a survivor, and I truly hope with time you can feel like the true survivor you are.
