Is it true that you can paralyze your hand?
If you cut deep enough.
Do you mean your actual hand, or your wrist?
Yes, i mean whole hand...
I dont know if paralyse is correct word... with that i mean that you never cant move your hand again...
Paralyze is the right word..But uh..Only if you cut deep enough to sever tendons.:unsure:
Ok... thankfully, i dont cut so deep...
Thanks for help, jessus, i was really getting anxiety because of it...
Guilt, shame, embarrassment, never being able to wear short sleeves, freaking people out who notice or who you tell, wondering if you'll ever be able to stop the behavior, stigma...
other than what the guy/girl above me said.
..find yourself feeling bad cause you're not cutting, instead of cutting when you're feeling bad.
It's highly unlikely for something to happen and you'd have to do something extreme to your arm for something like that to happen.
I think he was referring to medical side effects. Also, aren't there like creams you can use to help clear scarring?
mental or physical?
i dont know about physical except scars but mental:
-having to always hide them, however i dont anymore
-self hatred for not stopping
this is not for all people, for example, i dont feel shame. too angry to.
we can add to that big list:
thetanos , gangrene, become friendless, loveless, start hating everything to make it a reason to cut yourself^^
I know about mental se because i cut myself for longerl than 3 months...
But thanks for answers:hug:
Np^^ we will always be around here to help you, or at leasthear your feelings^^
Yes you can damage a nerve which results in paralysis or muscle damage limiting the function of your arm/leg (wherever), even though it is hard to hit the nerves & muscles (I guess it depends on the extent you cut) it is not impossible so try to resist all urges to self harm. From personal experience, I started off small cuts, and it just got worse from there on.
