As the title says, what is your favourite song relating to suicide? I think mine would have to be I Won't See You Tonight pt. 1 by Avenged Sevenfold. (part 2 is pretty good as well).

    Cry alone, I've gone away
No more nights, no more pain
I've gone alone, took all my strength
    I've made the change,
    I won't see you tonight

Sorrow, sank deep inside my blood
    All the ones around me
    I cared for and loved

It's building up inside of me
A place so dark, so cold,
I had to set me free
    Don't mourn for me,
You're not the one to place the blame
As bottles call my name I won't see you tonight

Sorrow, sank deep inside my blood
    All the ones around me
I cared for and most of all I loved
But I can't see myself that way
Please don't forget me or cry while I'm away

    Cry alone, I've gone away
No more nights, no more pain
I've gone alone, took all my strength
    But I've made the change,
    I won't see you tonight

    So far away, I'm gone.
    Please don't follow me tonight
And while I'm gone everything will be alright

    No more breath inside
    Essence left my heart tonight
    No more breath inside
    Essence left my heart tonight

    K x

Alice Cooper - The Quiet Room

    The California air
    Your nightgown on the stairs
    I remember every night
Scenes from home in the Quiet Room

How long have I been gone
    Did winter kill the lawn
And all those polaroids you sent
Are on the wall in the Quiet Room

    They've got this place
    Where they've been keeping me
    Where I can't hurt myself
I can't get my wrists to bleed
    Just don't know why
    Suicide appeals to me

    The Quiet Room
    Is sterilized and white
    It's like a tomb
With just a moth stained naked light

    Plastic forks and spoons
    No laces in my shoes
They all know what I tried to do
    Outside the Quiet Room

    This quiet place
It ain't so new to me
    It's haunted atmosphere
    Has heard so many scream
    My home from home
    My twilight zone
    My strangest dream

    My confidant
    I have confessed my life
    The Quiet Room
Knows more about me than my wife

    They've got this place
    Where they've been keeping me
    Where I can't hurt myself
    I just can't
I just can't get these damn wrists to bleed

    A mattress on the floor
    No handles on the door
    I really need nothing more
    I'm alone

The end of the world Perfect for my end...

Why does the sun go on shining?
Why does the sea rush to shore?
Don't they know it's the end of the world
'Cause you don't love me anymore?

Why do the birds go on singing?
Why do the stars glow above?
Don't they know it's the end of the world
It ended when I lost your love

I wake up in the morning and I wonder
Why ev'rything is the same as it was
    I can't understand, no, I can't understand
How life goes on the way it does!

Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eyes of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye

I heard that from the movie Girl, interupted. It played during the part where the Brittany Murphy's character killed herself... ironically she also died in real life :(

Boo; never heard of the movie...looking it up  she died too?
had never heard a woman sing it either
just when dad would be home on leave he would sing that one-had an incredible voice
and the other song he frequently sang was; Make the world go away, get it off of my shoulders...etc gawd...oh gawd.
was always melancholy while in the states

    Awww kali :(

You should check out the movie, it's about depression and things related to suicide. Here's a link where you can watch the movie right away :)

Don't watch that film, you don't need to be triggered.
Kazine, my favourite is Rock n Roll Suicide by Bowie. All in all though I avoid anything that might trigger. Better that way. Besides which, do you really want to listen to other people's angst?? Particularly well paid people in jobs they love? Life's hard enough without taking that on.
Having said that Rock n Roll Suicide is a fab track but perhaps I'm showing my age.

thank you for the link Boo
and thank you for your concern CatherineC

i've witnessed enough real life crap that a movie serves more as a release of emotions than a trigger

Well there's nothing wrong with a good weepy if you're in the mood for it. Personally though I prefer the 'Born Free' sort of weepy  Can't handle real life scenario's at all. (Do like lions though!)

except i'm not too sure about that song
    Born free...
    we all should be
    but it's not that way
it's not that way at all
