    Oh, fuck. What a life.
I was on the road as a teen, on a bicycle. Then lived in a commune in my early 20s, then became a treeplanter, and treeclimber on forest service contracts in the late 80s. The contractor I worked for got the first spotted owl contract when that hit the fan, did marbled murrelet surveys as well, all over oregon, n, california.
I started my own business in 95, and have done a few million dollars worth on various survey contracts, mostly wildlife, some treework stuff. I've had over 50 employees in the last 15 years.
I also got into log construction in the off season (wildlife work is mostly done in the spring breeding season) and have done a few log structures.
I'm now finishing the 4th year of a 3 year contract (got more work, and a year extention) and finishing the biggest log structure I've ever done.
I'm flat out shot. I've squeezed everything I think I can get out of my mind and body.
