Dolls pretty much took over my childhood. So they remind me.
Also being out in the sunshine with friends, not caring how I looked.
I miss that.

seeing horses, I used to get out of the house and school and sit by fields pretending I was free to ride into the sunset, thats the only good thing.

My Nana & Grandad had a caravan by the beach. My happiest memories are there.

They don't have the caravan anymore & my Grandad passed away but everytime I feel down I drive up there & have a walk through the cathedral or sit on the beach. It always gives me a sense of calm.

I don't remember much of my childhood - except horrific stuff -

I can dream about what it would've been like though.

I can see it in my kids!

My 4 year old just got off the trampoline - it's a beautiful day!

Thanks for this post!

Music that was popular then. I was at my mother's house last night, and I found a bag of old cassette tapes that I'd recorded from the radio when I was a kid. I was going through a few of them, and some of the songs brought back really strong memories!

..hot, humid summer days where i had hours of free time and mom would only call me in for dinner. . . played outside all day long.

certain songs. like ''''it never rains in california, but girl let me warn you, it pours, man it pours. . .. "" i heard it in the car while my mom drove me to school on a rainy day.

when i turned my light out, PROMPTLY at 9:oo pm b/c my parents were geeks! i would look out my bedroom windown, and could see my grandparents house next door; they would be in the kitchen, fixing a little bedtime snack. i would flash my light at them ((quickly so mom and dad could not see!)) and they would stand and wave and blow kisses to me.

poptarts, brown sugar cinnamon. chef boyardee ravioli. coca cola in glass bottles. The Midnight Special, with Wolfman Jack - lol. (( i am old)) my Fishers-Price Little People Doll house and school.

thanks for this thread : ) it makes me feel so good
