Evidence that circumcision is a dangerous practice and that gender is not a social construct. It amazes me that his parents could be convinced that removing their infant's testicles would be in his best interest. Since it was a psychologist behind it all, he should been the next lab rat for psychological study.

the scientist? the psychologist? he should have been put in a line with the quack
who botched the circumcision and the parents and sentenced to 5 years in front of a
    firing squad.

Thats true, theres a documentary on David Reimer on youtube, they interview him and he had problems with his parents (Its no surprise really though is it?)

The poor guy....he committed suicide after an arguement with his wife, after everything he'd been through, all the lives he touched by telling his story, he died over an arguement :(

    It's very sad :(

A botched operation shouldn't mean a death sentence for the doctor. Negligence and malice, maybe, but not merely the botching. Doctors can not be perfect...

But that psychologist was at least negligent, probably malicious, and definitely haughty, and ought to die a nasty death.

he burned the guys pork sword off. surelly the eye for an eye
philosiphy applies here, don't it? so, you are disagreeing with my
fascist ideas concerning justice? you are quite right to do so.

ok, sentence the first doc to cleaning toilets for the remainder of
his natural life. the parents? mandatory sterilization, just in case
more offspring MIGHT occur. and the psycholgist? what about him?
a nastier death than 10 years in front of a firing squad surely, I agree.

what did he get by the way? the article was unclear about that.

Nothing. He died of Parkinsons back in 06 and got a medal for his psychological research in 02.

I doubt anyone was held accountable because of this.
