So this is how I spent my weekend ...adopting a kitten... but I'm having a really hard time naming him. Here are some contenders so far... Please cast your vote or if you have your own ideas, feel free to share them. He's a terror, but he also curls up between my neck and shoulder and sleeps there for hours. He's inquisitive and brave and playful.

I like your thoughts about including gods and goddesses. Our pooch is Odin, a Germanic mythological dude. Our previous cats were named after Greeks, and the last one's was named "Socky," short for Socrates, the guy who was forced to drink Hemlock.

Our new family members are treated in high regard.
