Mine is Eminem~beautiful
(They Long to Be) Close to You - The Carpenters
"Jersey Girl" - by Tom Waits.
A bit of a downer, but it is such a terrific song that I could listen to it repeatedly and never get bored of it.
Kentucky Avenue - Tom Waits. I would post the link to it on YT but for some reason pasting does not seem to work for me on SF with iPad, sorry!
The song is melancholic, at least that is how I see it, of life back when it was so much simpler and fun, in the 50s and 60s, and is simply amazing at being able to bring out those long forgotten fun and cherished childhood memories.
Stepdad: My leather my fur my nails.
This song puts a smile on my face every time I play it. It's silly and I find the lyrics creative
Favorite line: You've got such beautiful gifts What are you doing ruining the packaging?
I want you to laugh and sing more,
But you dropped anchor in a place
where dreams go to die and you're keeping your ass indoors
I'm asking for you to stick it out and see things through
You're asking for me to zip my mouth and keep it just between me and you
OMG! I can't believe these two collaborated! I love them both. Thank you for posting!!!
Tom Waits - "Alice" (of the same name):
I'm really diggin this guy's songs lately
How could you do this to me...?
