when I die, I don't want a funeral

    because no one will show up anyway

    I have no one to show up

    and funerals are meant to celebrate people's lives

    well what's to celebrate in my life

    I don't want a funeral either. Neither did my parents. Only a handful would show up at mine. But my main reasons are for simplicity. I am trying to simplify my life. Might as well simplify the end too.

    Might I suggest body donation? University labs will be happy to use your body for research, thereby helping medical advances. It is a meaningful alternative when funerals seem a bit pointless.

    Sorry to say this but once you're dead, your body is at the peril of the living and their wishes may not be the same as yours. But for the time being, why are you feeling this way that its not worth celebrating?
